Hampton Dance for Wellbeing & Parkinson’s welcomes people with Parkinson’s, and others who wish to continue to dance through life, their carers, family and friends, as well as the community to come together each week for some movement, enjoyment and laughter. Between our classes we take time to have a cuppa and a chat.
Times: Standing class 9:15-10am, Morning tea 10-11am, Seated to standing class 11am-12:15pm
Venue: Hampton Seniors Centre, 14 Service Street Hampton Price: First class is free, subsequent classes are $15 each

Reservoir
Dance for Health & PD classes offer an opportunity to think and feel like a dancer. Based on the Dance for PD® method, your trained and registered dance teacher will guide you through dance movements that enhance and maintain mobility, flexibility, balance, posture, coordination, strength and grace. Experience music and movement styles from around the world and feel your whole body sing. Participants do not need to have previous dance experience.
Dates: Mondays aligned to Victorian public school terms
Time: 2-3pm with social catch up before and after Venue: Reservoir Senior Citizens Centre, 2-5 Wright Street Reservoir

Hawthorn
Dance for Neurobalance has two weekly classes at the Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Centre. The YMCA run facility includes a beautiful studio with a ballet barre, full-length mirrors and access to the gym’s facilities including two swimming pools. Classes are open to all adults living with neurological conditions including, but not limited to, Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease, stroke, Dystonia and MS. Caregivers are invited to attend. Participants pay $6.30 for each class (with a CAC membership) and their caregivers can attend free of charge. Following class, the group enjoys tea at a nearby café.
Dates: Ongoing classes on Wednesday and Fridays, closed on public holidays and summer break
Times: 12-1pm with social time following

Parking: 1 hour free parking at the Coles Local and Hawthorn Aquatic and Leisure Ctr parking lots
